by admin on May 7, 2009

In dealing with my daughter’s inattentive ADD and researching for years to find natural treatments for her inattentive ADD. Here are some things you can do to help improve the symptoms of ADD for yourself or your child:

1. Cut back on sugar – Sugar seems to aggravate the symptoms of ADD.

2. Take L-Tyrosine

3. Eat more protein

4. Exercise – Exercise for at least 20 minutes a day – 5 days a week.

5. Music Therapy – Listen to classical music at least 30 minutes a day

6. Hold a squishy stress ball while working on paperwork or school work

7. Create a routine or structure

8. Practice good handwriting regularly

9. Work in quiet, solitary areas to avoid distraction

10. Get at least 8 hours of sleep per night or 10-12 for a child

11. Avoid food colorings

12. Avoid processed food

13. Try neurofeedback or biofeedback

14. Try BrainGym

Ok, I don’t have 50 yet, but I will keep adding ideas until I do.

People have had success with different combinations of all of these. I have seen small improvements with all of them.
